Project Abstract
We are aiming to create an audio plugin that can isolate a source sound (i.e. human speech) from the acoustical sound, or reverbation, that voice excites in a room. This has many relevant applications across the audio industry, as people in film and music often run into problems with recordings being too room-y. Our primary goal is to create a Matlab script that can remove the reverberation from an audio recording. Some stretch goals include allowing the user to remove reverb without prior knowledge of the room's reverberation characteristics, and creating a web application that will allow the user to upload reverberative audio directly and get back a dry version.

- Faulkner Bodbyl-Mast: Hello! My name is Faulkner. I will be graduating this semester with a B.S. in Sound Engineering through SMTD. I intend to work in the field of acoustics consulting/engineering after I graduate. I love to explore different avenues of artistic expression through audio.
- Jackson Carroll: Hi! My name is Jackson. I'm graduating Fall 2022 with a B.S. in Sound Engineering as well. I plan on entering a signal processing- or technology-related field after I graduate. I'm passionate about math and technology.
